My brand new bike I wrote to work this morning…

I hope I am not making anyone too jealous. Contact Juri Zaech if you are. He might do one specially for you.

Pomodroido: Time Management 2.0

Time management isn’t a new field, with hundreds of books published over the last 50 or so years (and the rest), each professing to hold the secrets behind turning unmotivated workers into Überarbeiten – the basic premise being that by utilizing a few simple techniques (normally based on small promises you make to yourself) you’ll get more done with less effort.

Near Field Communications (NFC)

Some things you’d bet the family silver (or nearest metal equivalent) on and some things you wouldn’t. Paying for goods directly through your mobile phone using Near Field Communications (NFC) technology – in layman’s terms a swiping device (think of the London Tube’s Oystercard) – has to be a pretty good bet for the future.

Our new interactive multimedia campaign

To promote Peugeot’s Limited Edition Envy range, we have produced “Whodunnit?”, an integrated campaign utilising simultaneous TV, radio advertising, digital marketing and social media.   The TV commercial features a 207 Envy sinking slowly in a swimming pool. One of our main objectives, here, was to socialize and generate flow on Peugeot’s Facebook page by making the  TV ads as intriguing and enigmatic as possible.   “Whodunnit?” turns the consumer into a detective as they solve the mystery of who pushed a Peugeot 207 envy into a swimming pool.   By becoming a Facebook fan of Peugeot UK, the consumer is able to lead a real investigation to find out who, out of four suspects, the culprit is. Through interviewing and checking the suspects’ phones, the user must obtain clues to crack the case.   Those who accused the right suspects go into a prize draw to win their very own Peugeot 207 Envy. Find out if you’re more of a Holmes or Clouseau by trying out the game here.

Epic Win injects gaming into task lists

Think about it. A large amount of the activities we partake in online these days utilise principles from the gaming world. Take FourSquare as an example – you collect achievements (badges), compete against friends (who can become the mayor of Ye Olde Mitre first?), explore new locations, share tips and receive rewards (special offers).

Today, Facebook takes over the internet

Earlier this week I wrote an article about the fact that Facebook has begun to take over peoples’ lives online. You can read it via Figaro Digital here. Now far be it for me to suggest that i’m some kind of genius psychic but today has seen Facebook launch a roster of new features that extend their reach well beyond Facebook.com. You know that already on a lot of sites there’s a little Facebook icon that lets you post items into your newsfeed for your friends to view? And you know that you can ‘like’ your Facebook friends’ photos and comments? Well Facebook is supercharging that functionality to let you potentially ‘like’ almost any piece of content on the web (as long as the site chucks those little thumbs up buttons in there). When you click on the ‘like’ button you’ll also immediately be told which of your friends have also ‘liked’ it.
