Burger King’s Windows 7 burger makes us hungry (then a little sick)

Honestly, we’re not obsessed with writing about Burger King ads. They’re not a client. We’re not pitching for them (saying that, BK – if you’re reading this, do get in touch). They just seem to do some very interesting marketing. Take their latest stunt for example – the Windows 7 burger featuring, yes you guessed it, 7 patties and available for 7 days. Surely this is marketing genius?

Marketing mess-ups II: Microsoft’s foul-mouthed chatbot

A chat bot created by Microsoft for MSN Messenger users has been withdrawn after starting to talk back all filthy-like to children. The bot was intended to let kids have a chat with Santa about what they wanted for Christmas and whether or not they’d been good boys or girls. However, discussing the subject of pizza caused the bot to bring up oral sex.

A new console war looms

Sony’s Playstation 3 finally launched in our great nation last Friday with much fanfare, though seemingly little uptake. Initial reports suggest launch events were less than busy, though we can at least be glad that nobody has been stabbed or shot. The fact that we were able to find the consoles in every major retailer yesterday speaks volumes when compared to the Wii and Xbox 360 launch sell-outs.
